- So I downloaded AWeb. Ran it. Looks nice. No MUI. (Love that ClassAct popup
- menu.) It works like a charm on local files. Stable in ways AMosaic never
- was. I abused it a bit to make sure it wasn't going to take down my system.
- It passed the test.
-
- So I dialed into my PPP account, ran AWeb, and typed in the URL of my ISP's
- home page. The first part loaded okay. The banner image came up. Then,
- about a third of the way into the load, it slowed to a crawl. Then, it
- stopped altogether. I tried it several more times. Same thing. Tried some
- other URLs. Same thing--starts out fine, then comes to a grinding halt. I
- reduced the number of simultaneous network connections to one, thinking
- maybe my connection couldn't handle eight. Same thing.
-
- I haven't gotten it to load a single complete file over the network yet. I
- figure this has to be just me. What do I do?
